With the new year upon us, we thought we’d take the opportunity to look back at what 2017 had in store for Venterra. The year was packed with some pretty awesome highlights for us an organization!
January started off with a bang with the acquistion of Tree Park Apartments in Atlanta followed soon after by our 50’s themed Kick-Off Parties. In March our Experience Leaders got together for Venterra Leadership Conference 2017, we acquired Venue at Hometown in Ft. Worth, and The District at Universal Boulevard, and we released our 8th WOW Matters book. Naturally, April started off with some pranksters having a good time. In June it was announced that 96% of our communities were Top Rated on ApartmentRatings.com, and employees showed their creative sides for our Welcome Board Contest. In July we showed love for our maintenance team members during Maintenance Appreciation Week and acquired Chatham Pointe Apartments in Raleigh.
We became “Great Place to Work” certified in August, and in the same month our employees, residents, and family members endured Hurricane Harvey, prompting our employees to jump into action to help. September marked Belterra Apartments being voted “The Best Apartment Community” in Fort Worth, and in October we were again named a Great Place to Work, launched our new brand, including our the all new VenterraLiving.com, and had a blast celebrating Halloween. Some of our most recent highlights have included the acquistion of CoHo and Cobblestone at Eagle Harbor Apartments, and our teams participating in Toys for Tots drives.
2017 also marked tons of promotions of Venterra employees including those moving into Experience Leader roles within the company, employee anniversaries, plenty of new rock stars joining the team, lots of Fun Fridays, employee WOW Moments, and teams enjoying their regional Family Fun Days and Maintenance Mania events. We also had plenty of folks get some time in with their families in Orlando at our employee vacation suite and we lots of our four-legged family members hanging out in our offices throughout the year!
