With the holiday season underway, we wanted to share one of our monthly Better Living challenges that we felt really captured the spirit of the season of giving!
During this Better Living challenge, employees were encouraged to find a way to give back to others. Participating employees came up with a way to make a positive impact on their neighbors or community in whatever way they saw fit. Whether it was helping someone out with chores around the house, donating their money or time to a charity, or doing a trash pick-up of an area in need, we loved seeing our teams get out there and make a difference… and they sure did!
The monthly reward for taking part in this Better Living challenge was a $25 donation to a charity of the employee’s choice. Employee participation resulted in Venterra donating to some great organizations like St. Jude’s, the ASPCA, and Legacy Mission Village.
In addition to those who benefited from the generosity of our big-hearted employees, our overall winners for the Giving Back Better Living challenge were Customer Relations and Communications Manager, Robin Finney, who dedicated her time to a reading circle at her church reading to underprivileged refugee children in the Dallas area, and Bala Woods Community Manager, Kim Baker, who raised $100 to donate to the AIM for Melanoma Walk in honor of her friend who has been cancer free for years! Robin and Kim both earned themselves $125 just for giving back to others!
