Our Leader Promise that our employees will have a voice is demonstrated in a number of ways in our organization. One that is definitely a favorite is our Better Way contest in which we ask our team members to submit ideas that could make life better for our residents or help to strengthen and improve us as an organization. Gathering ideas and working together to continuously improve our operations is what makes Venterra one of the best in the business!
The Better Way was better than ever in 2015. We had over 600 submissions again this year and 39 winning suggestions. That means that since 2011 – 5 years – we have had over 2,300 total submissions, 140 winners, and $45,000 in total prizes and awards. Truly exceptional, but there can only be one $2,000 Grand Prize winner each year!
Congratulations to Champions Green, Better Living Consultant, Emily Serebrenick who was awarded this title during our 2015 Kick-Off Parties! Emily came up with the idea of creating Fun Fridays to help kick up that Friday energy an extra notch. From representing our favorite sports teams to celebrating our recent Glassdoor Best Places to Work win with new “I Love Venterra!” tees, Fun Fridays have definitely been a hit across the board!
